Noël Coward Theatre

942 seats

Opened in 1903 as the New Theatre, then the Albery, and the Noël Coward since 2006. Into the Woods plays here until 9 January 2027.

Inside the Noël Coward Theatre

Charles Wyndham built it in 1903 behind his own Wyndham's Theatre, to designs by W. G. R. Sprague: classical outside, rococo inside. It was the New Theatre for seventy years and the Albery from 1973, and has been the Noël Coward since it reopened after refurbishment on 1 June 2006.

Delfont Mackintosh has run it since 2005 and sells its tickets; booking fees may apply except at the box office. It has 942 seats on four levels, a short walk along St Martin's Lane from the Tom Stoppard Theatre.

Opening dates, capacities and architects on this page come from the theatre's own history pages and from Wikipedia.

Getting there

Leicester Square on the Northern and Piccadilly lines and Charing Cross are each a few minutes' walk.
