Plymouth's touring musicals all arrive at the same address. The Theatre Royal on Derry's Cross runs three auditoriums — the 1,320-seat Lyric for the big shows, the Drum for two hundred, the Lab for fifty — and a production workshop across town where sets and costumes are actually built, which makes it one of the few regional theatres that earns as much as it is given.

It sells its own tickets for both shows on this page, and it gets Cats first: the UK tour opens here on 6 October 2026, twelve nights, before it goes anywhere else.
