Schmigadoon! keeps Jennifer Simard to 29 November and books to April

Schmigadoon!, the Broadway musical made from the Apple TV series that parodied Broadway musicals, has two pieces of casting news and one booking date.

Simard stays

Jennifer Simard, whose run was to have ended earlier in the autumn, has extended through 29 November 2026. Simard is the performer the reviews singled out, and the extension keeps her through the Thanksgiving week, Broadway's busiest of the autumn.

A new Doc

Juan Pablo Di Pace plays Doc from 24 October to 22 November, a limited engagement in the role.

The horizon

The production at the Nederlander Theatre is booking through 4 April 2027. A booking horizon is not a closing date; it is as far as the box office is selling, and it moves.

An extension announced weeks before the old end date, for a performer the show depends on, is a producer reading the advance and liking it. Simard through Thanksgiving means the show expects to sell that week on her; the April horizon means it expects to be here when the Tony eligibility season closes, which for a musical that opened last season is about the awards campaign for its cast as much as the box office. The date to watch is what gets announced for 30 November, because a run that loses its best-reviewed performer in December usually does not see the spring.
