Paddington The Musical

What Paddington The Musical actually is

A small bear from Peru arrives at Paddington station with a label round his neck asking someone to look after him, and the Brown family does. The characters are Michael Bond's, from the books he began in 1958; the story is inspired by the films rather than lifted from any one of them.

Tom Fletcher, of McFly, wrote the music and lyrics, Jessica Swale wrote the book, and Luke Sheppard directs. It is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and StudioCanal, with Eliza Lumley Productions on behalf of Universal Music UK.

The Broadway site's line is “New York, please look after this bear” — the label round his neck, readdressed to a new city.
