Maybe Happy Ending
What Maybe Happy Ending actually is
Oliver and Claire are Helperbots, retired robots living alone in neighbouring apartments in near-future Seoul. Oliver is waiting for his old owner to come back for him; Claire's battery is failing and she needs a charger. A borrowed charger turns into a road trip, and the road trip into the one thing neither of them was built for.
Will Aronson wrote the music and Hue Park the lyrics, and they wrote the book together. Michael Arden directs. Darren Criss won his Tony as Oliver, with Helen J. Shen playing Claire opposite him.
It runs 1 hour 40 minutes with no interval and is recommended for ages 8 and up — a short evening by Broadway's standards.
