The Full Monty

What The Full Monty actually is

Jerry and Dave have been out of work since the Buffalo mills closed, and are broke enough that a touring male revue gives Jerry an idea: a one-night strip show of their own, with whoever they can talk into it. It is a comedy about unemployment, fathers and sons, and bodies that were not built for the job.

Terrence McNally wrote the book and David Yazbek the music and lyrics; it was Yazbek's first Broadway score. The musical premiered at the Old Globe in San Diego in June 2000 and reached Broadway that October.

Leigh Silverman directs the revival and Connor Gallagher choreographs. Casting has not been announced.
